The Honky Tonk Tailgate Party is a high energy, 90 minute concert featuring four
chart topping country artists on one stage performing their hit songs! The artists
will use one band to reduce down time between sets for a honky tonking, foot stomping
good time.
Hitting the stage will be Rhett Akins, David Kersh, Chad Brock and Daryle
Singletary. You don’t want to miss this one!
RHETT
AKINS, born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia, launched
his career in 1995 with his debut album A Thousand Memories.
Two additional albums followed - Somebody New and What
Livin's All About, each on Decca Records. During his career, Akins
has placed several singles at the top of the charts including "She
Said Yes", "Don't Get Me Started", "That Ain't
My Truck", "Better Than It Used To Be", and "More
Than Everything". One of the career achievements he is
very proud of is serving as the National Music Industry
Spokesperson for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
DAVID
KERSH, born and raised in Humble, TX, spent his early 20s working the local Texas dancehall circuit,
paying his dues and landing a major label record contract. Known
for his rollicking stage performances, David first hit the top
five with “Goodnight Sweetheart”
and the Brad Paisley written “Another
You”.
CHAD
BROCK, a native of Ocala, Florida moved to
Nashville in 1992. Before landing his first major label deal
with Warner Bros. Records, he paid his dues by gaining a rich
bank of experience working the road and honing his skills as a
performer. Chad graduated to the major league of Country Music
with the success of the release of his namesake album project,
Chad Brock, in 1998, which produced his first #1 single, "Ordinary
Life", and earned him a spot on Alan Jackson's
High Mileage Tour.
DARYLE
SINGLETARY, born in Whigham, Georgia, made his move to
Nashville after realizing that a singing career was a true
possibility for him. Singletary landed his first record deal with
Giant Records after working in Music City. With his impressive
baritone voice and love of traditional sounding country music, he
enjoyed the success of "I Let Her
Lie" and "Too Much
Fun".
