As with every year since 1998, when Simon first performed some of his original
material, Simon is working to reach new levels. Highlights of his career
include his October 2002 tour with Kasey Chambers; his selection as one of ten
Australian musicians to perform at SXSW in March 2002; performing at Australian
Music Week and promoting his EP, "The Champagne Sessions", during 2001; opening
for Tommy Emmanuel and Marie Wilson in 2000; television appearances on the Joint
and the ABC in 1999; and the release of his first CD, "Two's A Crowd", in 1998.
With more than 5 years in the music industry already, Simon has extensive performing
experience in small and large venues, on television and radio, and at festivals and
private parties.
Born and raised in
Austinburg, Ohio, Tammy sang locally with her own band while in
her teens. In 1991, she moved to Nashville with her parents
where some years later, with a friend's help, she landed a job writing songs at Warner-Chappell. She signed to Sony Music Nashville, which released her first single, the very traditional "If You Can," in 2000. After a second single
stalled, her third effort, "Angels in Waiting"
made the Top 10; Cochran co-wrote the song about her two brothers, who had died of cystic fibrosis.
After
a dozen years and ten million albums, Tracy Lawrence has created
